After almost breaking the Internet following the debut of its Spring/Summer 15 campaign starring 80-year-old cultural icon Joan Didion, Céline's Pre-Fall 15 showcase was a far subtler affair – with the brand opting to host a private event in Paris on Tuesday with a 'no photography', photography policy.

Held at Céline's new Paris headquarters on Rue Vivienne, a select handful of guests including prominent editors, fashion icons and buyers turned out to see Phoebe Philo's new collection for Pre-Fall 15

The new line-up features masculine coats, eye-catching pants and clever knitwear – such as a Breton sweater, extended to form a dress. The general vibe is also a little more revealing than usual – with slashed pants that reveal the calves, and sassy silk tops that slip off the shoulder.

Céline and Philo decided to not allow photography of the building or the collection, and will instead reveal the look book for Pre-Fall 15 in late April/early May – closer to the time when the collection will be available in stores to buy.
