Marking their first joint project, Alexis Martial (pictured above) and Adrien Cailladaud have been named as Carven's new co-artistic directors for womenswear. Rumours first appeared that Martial was in talks with Carven back in December, the designer showed his final collection for Iceberg at Milan Fashion Week on Friday.

The duo first met at the Atelier Chardon Savard fashion school in Paris and both went on to work at Givenchy. They will debut their first ever collection for Carven at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday.

Carven's ex-creative director, Guillaume Henry will unveil his first creations for Nina Ricci on March 7.

"We warmly welcome Alexis and Adrien to Carven as we continue to define a Parisian and fresh elegance for the woman of today. We look forward to the overall creative vision they will bring to the growing world of Carven," said Henri Sebaoun, Carven's CEO.

Carven recently announced the appointment of Barnabé Hardy to head its menswear collections.
