The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the 15 recipients of the 2017 Newgen initiative, which aims to provide financial support alongside mentorship to the emerging names in British fashion. These include A-Cold-Wall*, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Cottweiler, Kiko Kostadinov, Nicholas Daley, Phoebe English Man, Halpern, Marta Jakubowski, Molly Goddard, Paula Knorr, Richard Malone, Sadie Williams, 2016 LVMH Prize winner Wales Bonner and Liam Hodges, which is stocked in Le Gray, Riyadh.

"To be able to select Newgen for both womenswear and menswear side by side this year has given the scheme a panoramic overview of London's strength as a centre-point of young innovation," said Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent and Chief Critic. "We have all been energised to see a surge of diverse talents from so many backgrounds whose focussed individuality inspires us."

The 15 labels will now show at Men's London Fashion Week in June and London Fashion Week in September accordingly. Now, read about the winner of the Loewe Craft Prize.
