Luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta has announced that it will host a single show in September to present its 2017 men's and women's collections. The move came about as the brand plans to celebrate significant milestones in its history: the maison's 50th anniversary as well as Creative Director Tomas Maier's 15th anniversary at the helm.

"I really like to organise this special show to celebrate these two milestones that are particularly meaningful to me, also taking the opportunity to widely gather contributors and supporters of Bottega Veneta", said Bottega Veneta's Creative Director Tomas Maier. "The Bottega Veneta universe is built on both genders, showing both women and men together is an organic move that follows the evolution of my creative vision.

Bottega Veneta is the latest in a growing list of fashion brands to convert to a co-ed show, which includes Gucci, Tom Ford and Burberry. Nevertheless, it remains unclear if this is a one-off celebratory show for Bottega Veneta or if it will be repeated in the future. Also unclear is the venue for the brand's show as reports suggest the traditional headquarters space where the shows are usually held, may not be large enough to accommodate the increased number of audience.
