Bloomingdales New York is encouraging designers to draw outside of the lines with a new Crayola crayon inspired design initiative that sees a collection of elaborate and bright one-off creations displayed in the flagship store.

Nanette Lepore created a show-stopping yellow bustier dress with a series of ornate 3D crayon rosette clusters that decorate the neckline, and flush yellow crayons lined up to create a formfitting bodice. Other designers included in the innovative project were Rebecca Taylor, Clover Canyon, Rebecca Minkoff, Torn by Ronny Kobo and Parker.

Parker designers Derek Farrar and Laurieanne Gilner went green, in every sense, with their playsuit design that is constructed of green crayon wrappers, which create a fabric effect and are also environmentally sound.
