As Kim Kardashian joined the front row of Balmain's Paris Autumn/Winter 15 presentation, with her newly platinum cropped locks today, as the appointed leader of the Balmain appreciation society, the crowd knew they were in for a glamorous affair.

Olivier Rousteing's lineup springs from a seventies point of inspiration with bright colour-ways and bold prints, that sometimes seemed to be knocking on the door of the eighties, in particular with the colour blocked panelled designed in orange and purple, divided by black lines. And a series of ruffled mini skirts.

Seventies glamour manifested through fluid wide leg flared trousers that were worn high on the waist, with statement belts. Paired with metallic disco tasseled tops and jackets the exhibited the same fluid movement up top as the ample material of the pants below.

In-your-face glamorous gowns dialled up the glamour factor even more (from the get go) and were also cinched with waist enhancing belts. Fierce jackets were slung over shoulders exhibiting the fierce feminine attitude exemplified by the Balmain woman.
