After it was announced that Alexander Wang is making an exit from Balenciaga, citing that he is "looking forward to taking my own brand to its next level of growth," as part of the joint decision to leave (read more on that here), the designer is powering ahead with his eponymous label, launching his first flagship store in Europe, in London's Mayfair.

Occupying a former post office, the 625 square-metre store is set across two levels, allowing ample space for both menswear and womenswear collections, as well as his T by Alexander Wang line. The store's interiors are befitting of Wang's modus operandi – ultra-modern and minimalist, with rich textures including stone-marbled walls and rich black leather upholstered furniture throughout, featuring the custom Alexander Wang pieces for Poltrona Frau. Wang tapped Belgian architect Vincent van Duysen, to help with the design.

The store marks the 25th flagship store since it first opened in New York 2011, Wang has placed himself in good company, just one street over from the boutiques of Dover Street, be sure to pay a visit if you're in town.
