Humberto Leon and Carol Lim created a desert oasis for Kenzo menswear Spring/Summer 16. The barren terrain was designed to off-set the travel inspired collection, and that it did. Boulders and tonnes of scorched sand set the scene for the sturdy canvas and intrepid designs that were presented in earthy tones.

Elsewhere, light silk fabrics floated down the runway, taking their design cue from parachute material, and aviator details such as toggles and ruching also appeared, enhancing the adventurous theme. Boiler suits added to the utility factor and flourishes of the more adventurous fashion statement came through a patched faded denim jacket and a series of trench coats slit at the elbow.
