Jimmy Choo and Carrera team up for men's sunglasses line
Following on from last year's women's collection
'Carrera by Jimmy Choo' will be the new line of sunglasses for men, following an agreement that Carrera made with the footwear brand last year for its women's capsule collection.
"The Jimmy Choo Man has an innate confidence and an effortless pronounced masculine style with a refined feel for detail and a rebellious sense of humour, all qualities that are shared by Carrera," stated Luisa Delgado, chief executive officer of Safilo Group.
The Italian eyewear company already has licensing agreements with several luxury labels, including Alexander McQueen, Céline, Dior, Fendi, Gucci and Saint Laurent, in addition to producing and distributing its own brands Oxydo, Polaroid, Safilo, Smith Optics, and Carrera, which it acquired in 1996.
"We were extremely pleased with the success of last year's partnership and are excited about expanding the world of the Jimmy Choo man with our first sunglasses collection" said Pierre Denis, CEO of the brand.
