Balmain is a force to be reckoned with. With Olivier Rousteing at the helm, the brand has enjoyed immense success thanks to its partnerships with celebrities, brands like Victoria's Secret and expert use of Instagram to promote and grow its #BalmainArmy.

This week the brand released its latest collection for Pre-Fall '18 and for the first time it included pieces for men. The debut men's collection featured the same disco ball aesthetic of the women's offering but there was one item in particular that has everyone talking.

That piece is a crystal-encrusted baseball jacket with the words 'Balmain Army' across the back. According to WWD, the piece, which retails for a cool Dhs147,000 (USD$40,000), took two months to finish. The designer told the site that he plans to extend the brand's men's offering given the consumer is open to embracing "glamour without feeling ridiculous" adding that he "can push more boundaries now."
