In a recent interview with CNN Style, iconic fashion designer and Creative Director of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld revealed his thoughts about fashion inspiration and how Paris has changed. Speaking with host Derek Blasberg during a model fitting for the Chanel show at Paris Haute Couture Week, Lagerfeld lamented that present day Paris is a far cry from what it was in the '50s. "Beyond very different; it was another world," he said. "I mean it was very French in the sense that it looked like an old French movie. I have the feeling I lived in a world that no longer exists. In Italy the spirit hasn't changed much, especially in Florence, but Paris and France has changed. But in a way Paris is still the best place to show fashion."
