Stuart Weitzman just launched shoeboxes as handbags for its Fall ’18 collection

Plus, two supermodels front the collection
Stuart Weitzman skipped the micro handbag trend and went straight to this for their new autumnal collection...

Statement handbags have been everywhere this year, with several different styles in the form of belt bags, fanny packs, miniature designs and PVC transparent pieces spotted on celebrities and the fash pack throughout fashion weeks. Now, Stuart Weitzman is the latest brand to launch a statement piece that might just spark a whole new trend on its own.

The brand’s Fall ’18 collection is made up of a slew of footwear designs (complete in leather, suede, silk satin and shearling — all autumnal-focused fabrics) along with a brand new handbag collection.

This season, the traditional relaxed leather pieces have been reworked and feature new silhouettes, including one that has been inspired by the brand’s signature packaging: a shoebox.

The more structured pieces (the Shoebox Shoulder Bag, Shoebox Clutch, Shoebox Mini 1, 2 and 3) come complete in rich fabrics including genuine python, silk satin and leather, and are available in blue-violet and black.

Stuart Weitzman has been known to cast celebrity faces to front its collections with previous names including Gigi HadidLily Aldridge and Joan Smalls, and this season is no different.

This season, the brand has tapped iconic supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Doutzen Kroes. Take a look at the campaign video below…
