The founder of Turkish streetwear label Les Benjamins, Bunyamin Aydin, is representing the Middle East in a new global Nike competition to celebrate the Air Max's 30th anniversary. Designed to continue the legacy of the iconic footwear, the Vote Forward competition sees 12 creatives – dubbed Revolutionairs – from around the world work on a new creative concept for the next iteration of the Air Max.
Aydin's design was inspired by Turkish rugs and reflects the Eastern culture of the capital. "I grew up in the West and now I live in the East," he said in an Instagram video for Nike. "I love both and in my work I always try to merge both. That's what I do, I breathe and I love."
