Iconic British shoemaker John Lobb has unveiled its Fall/Winter '17 collection during the ongoing London Fashion Week. Inspired by the home of British shoemaking, Northampton, as well as the River Nene that runs swiftly through it, the new pieces of exquisite footwear reflect smooth-flowing aesthetics complemented by contemporary reinterpretations.
In addition to key highlights – the stitchless loafers and crocodile suede boots – the John Lobb collection also showcases a unique patina technique that was popularly used in the '60s. The blueprint for the rare technique was recently discovered and revived in several pieces, resulting in an aged aesthetic that will only get better with time.
