Converse is launching a 'Made By You' interactive marketing campaign, exhibiting the diverse ways that some of the one billion Chuck Taylor wearers have enjoyed, decorated and personalised the iconic sneaker shoe. Some of the most famously personalised models come from Andy Warhol, Futura, Ron English, Glenn O'Brien and Kate Lanphear among others.

The 'Made By You' campaign will hit cities internationally including London, New York, Boston and Amsterdam and will feature art installations, wall murals, videos and even virtual a reality experience – Converse: A 360 Experience – which will allow people to actually walk in the sneakers of some the people featured in the campaign, using Google Cardboard technology

"We felt it was a really great time to be celebrating the Chuck Taylor," said Ian Stewart, vice president of global marketing at Converse. "It's something we haven't done in a long time, if ever, at this scale...Made By you originated from a simple human truth - we all want to be our true, authentic self in this world,"  he went on to say: "Fans of Chuck Taylor are the ones who have made Chuck Taylor an iconic badge of creative self-expression. It's time we celebrated them."
