Diane von Furstenberg's windows for Galleries Lafayette in Paris
As previously reported on Buro 24/7 Middle East, Diane von Furstenberg is celebrating the launch of the Galeries Lafayette's seasonal 'Pop'timisme' campaign, which highlights the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress.
In addition to literally painting the town in print – something which has happened all along Boulevard Haussman – the designer has joined forces with the French powerhouse to create a window featuring her treasured friends and icons, celebrated with some of them in person, in Paris, this week. From an Alex Katz portrait of Anna Wintour to Sarah Jessica Parker as captured by Jem Mitchell, there is plenty to see. Not to mention a Takashi Murakami of von Furstenberg flanked by Natalia Vodianova by François-Marie Banier and Hung Huang by Lin Xi.
As well as the windows, there's a special in-store display featuring a timeline that charts the 'Journey of a Dress', and a capsule collection of 12 of them in six heritage prints, including a limited edition Amelia and 440 Mini exclusively for Galeries Lafayette.
