Oscar de la Renta's Resort 2019 collection was inspired by Meghan Markle's mother
During the most anticipated wedding of the year, all eyes were on the bride-to-be Meghan Markle and her mum, Doria Ragland, who were both seen in coveted ensembles at Windsor Castle for the ceremony.
The new Duchess of Sussex donned a Clare Waight Keller design from Givenchy, whilst the mother-of-the-bride opted for a beautiful dress and matching coat by Oscar de la Renta.
The brand's designer-duo Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim first got the call to create the bespoke piece for Ragland in February and completely centred their Resort '19 collection around appropriate pieces for a wedding weekend itinerary.
With a slew of standout dresses in beautiful ivory and pastel shades, the collection was minimal yet sharp with its architectural petal prints, structured silhouettes, tweeded jackets and gowns in floral embroidered tulle and organza.
