This month saw the stylish handbag label Bu Wood, make its debut on Moda Operandi's trunkshow and we had to take note of the colourful circular bags that are contemporary whilst possessing a vintage charm.

The latest collection Bumi handbags take an unconventional circular shape, shaking up the conventions of this trusted accessory. Available in three sizes, there is a selection of seven chic colours, from vibrant fuchsia pink and post box red to grey and neutral hues, all finished in premium calf leather by the master craftsmen in the Milan workshop. So precise is each design that it takes 17 different skilled craftsmen as long as 14 weeks to complete one bag. In recognition of the exclusivity of the process, each bag is numbered specially.

The vintage call back to these geometrical shapes are reminiscent of the hat boxes, trunks, and pill boxes from the glamorous Forties and Fifties eras of old Hollywood. Prices range from 1650 EUR to 3500 EUR and are available now on Moda Operandi.
