This weekend, speaking at the Lisbon and Estoril Film Festival, director Wes Anderson revealed that he might be heading in the direction of stop-motion for his next film

After the major success of Fantastic Mr. Fox, the director says he's planning a return to animation with a film consisting of several small stories.

Set to break the new picture up into six "episodes", Wes Anderson said that the only thread linking the six vignettes would be that their setting – each set in Naples, similar to Vittorio De Sica's The Gold Of Naples.

Earlier in the year – while promoting Grand Budapest Hotel – Anderson said he was working on a script for an undisclosed project with Roman Coppola (his collaborator on The Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom) saying, "It's a little bit vaguely avant-garde in its concept and I'm just not sure if it's going to quite gel." He also added ,"I'm trying to think of a good tease. I think the thing is well, it's a thing where maybe there's 'many things happening at once.' That could be my tease."
