It's official! Donald Trump has overcome the odds to become the 45th President of the US. Standing next to his wife, Melania, Trump commented on America's decisive decision, saying, "Thank you. I've just receievd a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us on our victory and I congratulated her on a very, very hard fought campaign. Hilary has worked long and very hard and we owe her a major debt of gratitude. Now it's time for America... I say it is time for us to come together as one united people. For those who have choosen not to support me in the past, I am reaching out to you for your guidance and help to unify our great country. Ours was not a campaign, but an incredible and great movement."
Throughout the Presidential race, the common rhetoric in Trump's campaign was his promise to "make America great again". "We are going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become second to none," continued Trump. We will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us. No dream is too big, no challenge is too big. America will no longer settle for anything less than the best." Some of his proposed methods include strict immigration laws such as building a wall to stop illegal immigrants frrom Mexico as well as banning all Muslims for an unspecified period of time from entering the country, a law that directly impacts Middle East nations. Nevertheless, it still remains to be seen if Trump will go through with the tough measures.
