Following the exciting announcement last month that Tom Ford is at the early stages of creating his second film, after his 2009 directorial debut with A Single Man, further details have come to light this week.

According to sources, Ford's new film project is titled Nocturnal Animals and is a screen adaption of the "postmodern noir thriller" 1993 novel Tony and Susan, by the late novelist Austin Wright. A spokesperson for the talented polymath declined to comment on the rumour. Tony and Susan tells the story of a woman who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, and the narrative then follows the path of both the said manuscript, and the ex-wife reading it.

The Hollywood Reporter published an article reporting that George Clooney will produce the new Ford project together with Grant Heslov, his partner at Smokehouse Pictures.
