Mark your calendars for December 18, as the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) has just announced that it will hold its fifth annual Bil Arabi day.

This year, the initiative will coincide with the UN Arabic Language Day, and will see the city offer free Arabic lessons to expats both in physical locations and on social media.

Jamal Bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said of the event, "The initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to the Arabic language. It includes a host of creative initiatives and projects, all of which have one end-goal: to protect and preserve the Arabic language, securing its standing among the languages of the world. Since its very first edition, the 'Bil Arabi' initiative has been well received in all sectors and segments of UAE society, as well as in countries around the world. The initiative has become increasingly popular, drawing larger numbers of participants with its activities."

The events will begin today and run through until December 18, 2017. For more information, click here. Then, discover which UAE royal has been named as a global LinkedIn influencer
