Sheikh Hamdan wing walks over Dubai
Dubai's Crown Prince the daredevil
Residents of Dubai were treated to a special display of aeronautical acrobatics courtesy of Dubai's Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. Sheikh Hamdan, who is known for his high velocity adrenaline hobbies, took to the skies for some impressive wing walking at the weekend, with the UK-based Breitling Wingwalkers.
The Breitling Wingwalkers are the world's only aerobatic formation wingwalking team and were visiting Dubai for a performance as part of the UIM Skydive Dubai XCAT World Powerboating Series. Power boating also happens to be a high octane sport enjoyed by the Sheikh.
The daring performance lasted for almost half an hour and saw the two bright orange bi-planes complete synchronised stunts including a pass by the top of the Burj Khalifa.
Footage from the flight has been posted on Sheikh Hamdan's Instagram page and shows him looking very much at ease standing on the cross wing of one of the planes. At one point, he feels so comfortable that he takes the opportunity to take a selfie with what appears to be a selfie stick.
