Just in: The nominees for the 2019 Oscars are revealed

This is going to be an interesting year
The nominees for the 2019 Academy Awards have just been announced. Here's who's up for an award this year...

With awards season in full swing, everyone has been not-so secretly counting down to the Academy Awards. Considered to be the biggest night in film, the Oscars award the very best in filmmaking from the past 12 months and this year looks set to be one of the most exciting yet.

As expected, Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma has been nominated across multiple categories, whilst Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born also features heavily across the board. Plus, the cast of Black Panther are undoubtedly celebrating this evening, given that the movie is the first ever suphero film to get a Best Picture nod. However, the most exciting reveal was that of Lebanese director Nadine Labaki‘s Capharnaum in the foreign film category, making her the first ever Arab female to be nominated for the award.
