Just in: Pharrell Williams awarded French honour
In the midst of Paris Fashion Week, Pharrell Williams was awarded the French Officier des Arts et des Lettres for his outstanding achievements in arts. Following in the footsteps of other honourees including Uma Thurman, Elton John, Meryl Streep, Robert Paxton and Tim Burton, Williams was honoured by France's Minister of Culture Audrey Azoulay, in an intimate ceremony held in the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication.
Announcing the news via Instagram, Williams posted an image with Azoulay before receiving the green and white medal with a caption that read: "What an honour to receive the Officiers des Arts et Lettres medal. Thank you Audrey Azoulay."
