Two time Turner Prize nominee, artist Richard Wilson, is using the Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong as a canvas for his sculptural bus installation at Art Basel Hong Kong. Inspired by the 1969 film The Italian Job, starring a young Michael Caine.

Recreating the film's iconic cliff-hanger closing scene, where Caine and his band of thieves are torn between surviving a dangerous scenario when their escape van balances precariously from the edge of a cliff, and making away with their riches from the heist.

Wilson has constructed a life-size bus sculpture that mirrors this scenes, as it appears to be teetering on the edge of the hotel's seventh floor sun terrace, threatening to come crashing down its facade.
