Here’s what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have planned later this week

Plus, there's a first for Meghan...
It's been quite a busy few months since becoming husband and wife earlier this year, and now it's time for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to take a quick break...

It’s true when they say that a lot can change in a year and for Meghan Markle, it’s been quite a whirlwind 365 days. Since Markle’s last birthday on August 4, the Suits actress traded her acting career to become a British royal, has moved from Toronto to London, and has become engaged and married to Prince Harry

Now, the Duchess of Sussex is set to celebrate her 37th birthday later this week and it’ll mark her first time celebrating in much different circumstances. As part of her role alongside Prince Harry (who were both just seen at the Sentebale Polo Cup), Markle’s birthday plans will consist of celebrating another close couple.

According to Hello magazinethe Duchess will “likely spend the day at a wedding with Prince Harry, who is serving as the best man to one of his closest friends, Charlie van Straubenzee.”

Prince Harry and Straubenzee were friends since the pair first met at Ludgrove Prep School, and Straubenzee (who is set to wed Daisy Jenks) was spotted at the royal wedding on May 19, standing in as an usher for the Duke of Sussex.

Royal engagements traditionally slow down during the month of August, so this might be the only chance we’ll have to spot the newlyweds before returning to another jam-packed schedule in September. Stay tuned!
