The Clooney Foundation for Justice, founded by Hollywood actor George Clooney and wife, Lebanese-British human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, has teamed up with UNICEF to provide education for 3000 displaced Syrian children in Lebanon. The project, with additional support from Google and HP, will see seven Lebanese public schools open their doors in the afternoons to offer much-needed education for the children, complete with supplies and transport.

"Without education, this lost generation becomes not only a missed opportunity for the advancement of Lebanon but also a huge security threat in the region and beyond," said the foundation. "Giving refugee children access to education would unshackle their ability to change their lives and those of generations to come."
