Fondazione Prada is preparing to stage its first performance this autumn at the art institution's new Milanese headquarters. The Atlas of Gesture dance production will launch on September 18 and run until October 3.

Prada has tapped choreographer Virgilio Sieni to conceive and oversee this inaugural performance. Sieni comes with a glowing resume of experience including his position as the  director of Venice Biennale's dance section.

Atlas of Gesture will be composed of five parts, and will involve both amateur and professional dancers, who will interact with the statues of the Serial Classic exhibition, which is currently on display in the space, providing an intentional contrast between moving and static visuals.
