Thooq means 'to taste', 'taste' and 'elegance' in Arabic, so it was an obvious choice for this new magazine, which is beautifully dedicated to the art of food. Co-created by Sheikha Al Ali of 'When Sheikha Cooks', Fatma Saifan and Fatmah Ebrahim, Thooq Magazine marks the Middle East's first dedicated 'Food Art' publication.

The bilingual publication features both Arabic and English proportionally placed side-by-side throughout the entire magazine, which showcases a unique look at food culture in the Gulf region and Middle East. The new print title will also promote emerging Emirati start-ups, dedicating a free-of-charge advertisement in every issue in order to promote upcoming food businesses in the region.

Created to resemble a cook book in its appearance, the new title will launch at a special event next week and its inaugural issue for spring 2015 will be available in bookstores, hypermarkets and petrol stations all around the UAE from April.
