It's confirmed! Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum is the first female pilot from Dubai's ruling family to take to the helm in the skies. The Emirati royal assisted as a commercial pilot in her first flight for Emirates Airlines this week, after completing a skills test early last year.

Announcing the news via Instagram, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheika Latifa, posted an image of Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum in full uniform, with a caption that read: "My niece @mozahmm our first female pilot from the family on [her] first assisted flight as a commercial pilot. Proud of you! The sky is not the limit. As long as you can dream it, you can achieve it."
