Donald Drawbertson is auctioning five illustrations to raise funds for Nepal
It's no secret that here at Buro 24/7 Middle East headquarters, we are long time fans of artist Donald Drawbertson (a.k.a. Donald Robertson) and we just keep finding new things to add to his résumé of cool. This time its a commendable initiative to auction five of his original illustrations to raise funds for the Nepal aid appeal.
When he's not busy with his day job as a big-time beauty industry creative director, he's creating brilliantly inventive and unique art, be it on nuts, masking tape or sweetener packets. Robertson was recenlty drafted in by London land-owners Capco to create some images to help the rebranding and relaunch of Covent Garden's Floral Street.
The illustrations help shine a spotlight on the area as a womenswear shopping destination and will be displayed in the area ahead of the unveiling of the new look street. The original five illustrations, signed by the artist and sketched by hand, are going up for auction via the Instagram account belonging to Capco – @CoventGardenLDN until May 8. Each drawing has a reserve price of £2,000 and all of the proceeds will be sent to those in need in Nepal. Be sure to check in and place a bid.
