The most recent offering from mysterious street artist Banksy comes in the form of a twisted theme park that is most definitely not for children...

Dubbed the 'Dismaland Bemusement Park', this 'theme park' is not exactly family-friendly, with installations such as a decaying wreck of a fairytale castle and the aftermath of a pumpkin coach crash with Cinderella's limp corpse being snapped by an array of paparazzi. The themepark's tagline is "The UK's most disappointing new visitor attraction" and by the looks of all the intense displays, it lives up to it with a truly depressing and thought-provoking atmosphere.

The project is Banksy's first show since 2009 and features a total of 58 other global artists works including Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer, Josh Keyes, Mike Ross, Caitlin Cherry among many others. The themes range from the apocalypse to pointed social critiques on celebrity culture.

The 2.5 acre Dismaland Bemusement Park will hold live music events and comedy nights throughout its run with performances from Pussy Riot, Kate Tempest, Sleaford Mods and Run the Jewel.

Open from August 21 until September 27 the park is located in the English beach town of Weston-super-mare in a disused swimming facility. Take a closer look via the gallery and video below now and stay tuned to Buro 24/7 Middle East for more culture news...
