This Thursday night British designer Christopher Kane will host the Serpentine Gallery's annual summer party at its grounds in Kensington Gardens. A cultural highlight for the coveted party will include Spanish architects José Selgas and Lucía Cano's multicoloured translucent installation for the Serpentine's 15th annual Pavilion.

Michael Bloomberg, Alexa Chung and architect Zaha Hadid join Kane as co-hosts and British musicians Spandet Ballet and James Righton will treat guests to a special performance before 2manydjs take to the decks for the night.

"I have admired the Serpentine and its amazing work and reputation for many years now and have always loved going to the summer party," said Kane. "We have always used bold colours in our collections, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing SelgasCano's colourful and vibrant vision of the pavilion and to see it represented on such a vast scale."
