Asdaa Music Festival to launch in Dubai under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco
World cultures join forces
The UAE is soon to welcome the ASDAA Music Festival, an event to celebrate traditional cultures, and for its first edition, the spotlight is focused on the Kingdom of Morocco, and its esteemed guest of honour.
From the desert of Rajasthan to the Atlas Mountains, from the valley of the Nile to the Arabian Gulf, the exciting ASDAA Festival plans to bring the greatest voices of the East and an amazing blend of folk art and contemporary art to the country. The ethos of the concept will be echoed by a multitude of artists and guests participating such as Luti Bushnaq, Dhafer Youssef, Ghada Shbeir, Latifa Raafat Mohamed Bajeddoub, the Musicians of the Nile and the dancer Anuj Mishra.
"Since Morocco, as a country of rich identity, with multi-linguistic and ethnic tributaries, and with cultural and artistic assets, is worthy of admiration, then the cultural sector should embody this diversity, and encourage all sorts of creative expression, both of which fit our honourable heritage, or the modern taste, with all its various patterns and arts, in an integration between the authentic traditions, and the modern creations." Said His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morroco, who will be present when the event launches at the Meydan resort in Dubai soon.
