Los Angeles gathered the music industry's finest for an evening (or morning if you're in the Middle East) filled with surprises, performances and tributes. And the winners are...

The 61st annual Grammy Awards this year were held in Los Angeles and hosted by Alicia Keys. After the 60th annual Grammy Awards, this was a refreshing switching of gears, as most people weren't so hot for James Corden hosting the show last year. Now, the awards went back to (good) basics and saw a reputable singer take to the stage and lead the chorus, as it were. And she performed on two pianos, too. Someone give her all the Grammys, please...

When it came to the winners, Dua Lipa went home with the Best New Artist award, Lady Gaga scooped up three awards between Shallow (Best Pop Duo Award and Best Song Written For Visual Media) and Joanne (Best Pop Solo Performance) while Childish Gambino won Record of the Year for This Is America

As usual the awards, with all its many categories, celebrated a huge variety of music genres and noticeably, the powerhouse women in the industry. Just take a look at all the female performances for a start and then the winners below...
