Solange Knowles has pulled out of Coachella
Just one week ahead of her planned concert
Coachella 2019 is just over a week away from kicking off and this year looks set to be another one to remember. With some of the world's top names taking the stage, including Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Kanye West (who is bringing his "Sunday Service" performance to the festival for the first time). Solange Knowles was also part of the line-up, until last night that is.
The younger sister of Beyoncé Knowles has officially pulled out of this year's event, citing "major production delays" as the reason for cancelling her April 13 and 20 shows. The news was shared on Coachella's official Instagram account with the organisers writing, "Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year's festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future."
It is not currently known what those production delays are.
The news comes just 24 hours after Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming documentary on Beyoncé's epic Coachella performance last year.
