Kurt Cobain is dominating the news this month, first his daughter – Frances Bean Cobain – opened up to Rolling Stone about the documentary she executive produced about her iconic muscian father, then long lost artworks created by the Nirvana frontman were revealed. Now Buro 24/7 Middle East can reveal that the grunge icon, who passed away in 1994, will have a new album out this summer.

The director of the aforementioned documentary, which is called Montage of HeckBrett Morgan, has revealed that a collection of unreleased recordings will debut later this year. The record will feature Cobain, his wife Courtney Love and songs from his punk band Fecal Matter.

In Morgan's words: "It will feel like you're kind of hanging out with Kurt Cobain on a hot summer day in Olympia, Washington as he fiddles about. It's going to really surprise people. Just Kurt and you're going to hear him do things you never expected to come out of him."
