Blur frontman Damon Albarn has revealed that he worked on material for Adele's new album, which he has also referred to as "very middle of the road". Get the scoop...

Damon Albarn has revealed that he has worked with Adele on her long-awaited follow-up album to 2011's 21. The Blur frontman told British tabloid newspaper The Sun that he had worked with the songstress on some new material, but that he doesn't have high hopes for it to make the cut. He also, strangely, added that the tracks that he heard from the album were "very middle of the road."

Albarn revealed: "Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her. And I’m not a producer, so… I don’t know what is happening really. Will she use any of the stuff? I don’t think so. Let’s wait and see. The thing is, she’s very insecure. And she doesn’t need to be, she’s still so young."

We guess, if Albarn really did say these things, it might cement any of Adele's doubts over the collaboration and leave it on the studio cutting floor?

The UK singer's new album is thought to be called 25, following the traditional of Adele naming her albums after the age she was when she wrote them. Sources say 25 will drop in November, stay tuned for more news on Buro 24/7 Middle East...
