After months of speculation, the nominees for one of the most highly anticipated award ceremonies in the music industry have just been announced. This year, the 59th annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by Emmy-winning Carpool-Karaoke's host James Cordon, and will recognise the best in the biz.

This year the ceremony will be divided into 86 categories across four fields: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.

Nominees for best Album of the Year include Justin Beiber's Purpose, Adele's 25, Beyoncé's Lemonade, Drake's Views and Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide to Earth, while Best New Artist sees The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper, Anderson Paak, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini all up for nomination.

Competing for Record of the Year is Justin Beiber's "Love Yourself" and Mike Posner's "I Took a Pill in Ibiza", followed by Lukas Graham's "7 Years", Beyoncé's "Formation" and Adele's "Hello", who are also nominated for Best Song of the Year along with Rihanna x Drake's "Work" and Twenty One Pilots' "Stressed Out".
