When Oscar-winning actress, Jennifer Lawrence, interviewed Golden Globe-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne, for Interview magazine, one wouldn't have been questioned for expecting the two accomplished thespians to discuss their theatrical influences and creative role-models. In fact, the subject took a drastic tangent away from cultural heroes to pop-culture heroes, as the stars bonded over a shared love of reality television...

"I come home from trying to pretend to know about astronomy and physics all day and turn on The Real Housewives," Redmayne admitted, when speaking about his time filming The Theory of Everything. "I've been a closet lover of faux-reality TV since The Hills. It's bad."

Jennifer Lawrence interviews Eddie Redmayne and discovers they share an unusual mutual love

Perhaps expecting Lawrence to cast judgement or even brand Redmayne a philistine, her reply must have been a welcome relief – "I feel like I'm going to cry," she responded. "We're making a breakthrough. I went to Pump the other night to meet [restaurateur and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star] Lisa Vanderpump. I had her sign a bottle, and when she gave it to my friend who was with me at the Oscars, my friend said, 'Jennifer, this is so much better than the Oscars!' We took so many pictures with her."

"I'm a bit vintage," Redmayne added when Lawrence asked about his favourite show. "I go back to The Hills. Occasionally Audrina [Patridge] or Whitney [Port] will be on a website that I shouldn't be looking at, and I'm like, 'You know, I just want to check that they're doing all right, because it's my youth...' And the depressing thing is that it's not my youth. I was too old to be watching those programmes when I was watching them."

"MTV sometimes plays (repeats) for, like, three hours, and that will just turn into my morning," Lawrence confessed. "Like, I'll cancel (stuff)." We certainly know where we can find these two during filming hiatus in future...
