Tomb Raider

Alicia Vikander stars in the 2018 version of Tomb Raider and if the promo shots and trailer are anything to go by, she's best not messed with. Her character Lara Croft sets off on a mission to discover why her father went missing, and who was responsible, which sees her journey to a mysterious island with unwelcoming inhabitants. We just know we'll be cheering our way through this one.

Tomb Raider will be released on March 15, 2018.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This film picks up four years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park and will act as a sequel to the 2015 movie Jurassic World. Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have both reprised their roles and must try to save the dinosaurs left on the island from a new breed that threatens to wipe them, and everything else, out. This is probably a pretty safe bet for date night...

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

The next installment in J.K Rowling's new franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is already creating huge buzz. Starring Johnny Depp, Eddie Redmayne and Zoe Kravitz, the latest story sees Newt Scamander (Redmayne) join forces with Albus Dumbeldore (played by Jude Law) to defeat a common enemy.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released on November 16, 2018.

A Wrinkle In Time

Based on the 1962 novel of the same name, A Wrinkle In Time follows Meg Murry (played by newcomer Storm Reid) and her brother Charles as they travel to a distant planet to try and find their father Mr. Murry (Chris Pine). The pair are joined by Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) and Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) on their journey. With its stellar cast, we have a feeling this is going to be an instant classic...

A Wrinkle In Time will be released on March 9, 2018.

The Death and Life of John F. Donovan

Much like the above film, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan has an all-star cast that's got everyone talking. Kit Harrington plays John F. Donovan, a television star who has died 10 years prior to the start of the film and the narrative explores the correspondence between the late actor and a young fan (played by Jacob Tremblay). The film also stars Susan Sarandon, Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman and Kathy Bates.

The Death and Life of John F. Donovan has no set release date as yet.

Black Panther

The next film in Marvel's superhero line-up, Black Panther is certain to be a hit like its predecessors. Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker and Lupita Nyong'o star in the blockbuster that sees Black Panther (played by Boseman) thrust into war when his nation, and the world, is threatened.

Black Panther will be released in February 2018.

Mary Poppins Returns

2018 is officially the year for childhood films to come back to life and leading the charge is the Mary Poppins reboot. This film takes place following a loss in the life of Michael Banks which results in Mary Poppins' return to the family to help them find the happiness in life again. Emily Blunt plays Mary whilst Dick Van Dyke will also make an appearance, much to the delight of the OG film's fans.

Mary Poppins Returns will be released on December 25, 2018.
