The 2017 Golden Globe Awards was held last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the 74th edition of the awards show offered little surprises with big wins accorded to several critic and fan favourites, particularly the musical La La Land and its two lead protagonists, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. On the television front, The Night Manager was a multiple winner including the Best Actor Awards for Tom Hiddleston. The night also paid tribute to iconic Hollywood actress Meryl Streep who was bestowed the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
