It's been a momentous year for women — from Saudi Arabia lifting its driving ban to an unprecedented (but long needed and much welcomed) display of diversity on the catwalks and the Merriam-Webster dictionary announcing feminism as its 'word of the year'

And that theme is set to continue into next year with the June 2018 release of Ocean's Eight, the all-female led reboot of the Ocean's Eleven franchise. Following on from the release of the official film poster yesterday, the full trailer for Ocean's Eight has just dropped.

Watch the trailer below...

On the film poster, the star-studded cast of eight women — Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina and Helena Bonham Carter — look particularly fierce in their coats and shades against a vibrant red backdrop, leading us to think that we're in for some seriously cool moments when the film is released.

Directed by Gary Ross and produced by Steven Soderbergh, the Ocean's sequel centres around Debbie (played by Bullock), Danny Ocean’s estranged sister who is preparing for a heist at New York’s annual Met Gala.

The film is set to be released in theatres on June 8, 2018. Also, Vivienne Westwood's new documentary will be available next year — and we've got the lowdown on what to expect.
