Leonardo DiCaprio isn't one for taking the line of least resistance when it comes to choosing his film roles and his latest project selection may be his most challenging role (or should we say roles) yet. DiCaprio's production company Appian Way and New Regency, have reportedly come together to produce The Crowded Room, in which the actor will play 24 different characters.

The film is an adaptation of Daniel Keyes' book, titled The Minds of Billy Milligan, which is based on true events. Billy Milligan was charged with three rapes and a robbery in the 70's and was the first case in legal history to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a legal defence.

In the film DiCaprio will portray the 24 personalities of Milligan which included Ragen, a Yugoslavian communist and Arthur, an English gentleman, among them. As arguably one of the greatest talents of his generation DiCaprio no doubt up to the challenge, but the questions of everyone's lips will surely be whether this could finally be his overdue Oscar ticket.
