Jared Leto has been confirmed to play Andy Warhol in a new film. Simply titled Warhol, the biopic will be co-produced by Leto himself, together with Michael De Luca of The Social Network and Captain Phillips fame. Rounding off the star-studded production team is screenwriter Terence Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street) who will pen the screenplay, drawing inspiration from the popular book Warhol: The Biography by Victor Bockris.

Leto, renowned for his wide ranging acting ability including playing the Joker and his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club, will now tackle an icon from the arts fraternity who's best known for his colourful paintings that made pop art such a popular genre in the '60s. However no further details of the movie has been released.

Meanwhile, watch the trailer for Miss Sloane starring Jessica Chastain.
