In May it was reported that Harry Shearer (pictured above) would be walking away from The Simpsons, which meant the end of the iconic characters that he voices for the popular adult cartoon. But now the 71-year-old actor has confirmed that he is returning to voice Mr. Burns, Smithers and Ned Flanders and has signed an impressive $300,000 per episode deal.

The FOX network recently confirmed the 27th and 28th season of the hit show, and Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright and Hank Azaria will all also be returning and paid the $300k per episode fee. The Simpsons season 27 will aptly debut on September 27. Who is your favourite character?
