Emma Watson is polishing her ballroom dancing shoes, following the announcement that she has landed the role of 'Belle', in the new live-action Disney film remake of Beauty & The Beast, and we could not be more thrilled about the news.

Following a spate of live-action remakes of animated tales from Disney, which include; Cinderella and the upcoming Pan, which features Cara Delevingne, Disney has picked the much treasured tale of 'Belle' and her 'Beast' as its next project, which will see The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon, at the helm.

Watson couldn't be more perfect for the role, and she is evidently rather excited about sharing the news: "I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it. Emma xx" she tweeted yesterday.

We're super confident that Emma will do Belle justice and can't wait to hear more casting news from the production. Who would make the perfect 'Beast' and which set of bulging Hollywood biceps will fill the form fitting tunic of 'Gaston'?
