Marking the start of a new five year relationship between the Cannes Film Festival and Kering, Francois-Henri Pinault hosted a star studded dinner last night alongside festival president Thierry Fremeaux. The evening was focussed on 'Women in Motion' and aimed to echo the message of this year's festival, which is to elevate women in film, by honouring three different women for three different reasons.

Two-time Academy Award winner, Jane Fonda, was in attendance to collect her 'Women in Motion' Honor Award, for the richness of her career, her numerous professional achievements as well as for her long-lasting and relentless commitment for women and equality. Independent producer Megan Ellison (Zero Dark Thirty) was also among the honorees, although not in attendance.

Pinault's wife, actress Salma Hayek showed her support for the event and the cause alongside other powerful female figures such as Rossy De Palma and Sophie Marceau. The men played a supporting role with star such as Jake Gyllenhaal also turning out to enjoy the evening and support the star ladies. Take a look at the evening's gallery below...
