Always the cultural hub, Dubai offers a host of not-to-be-missed experiences this weekend from a concept store at the world's largest mall to a thought-provoking art exhibition to a gastronomic adventure with a twist. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the places to be and be seen.
Moroccan arts fest at Opera Gallery Dubai
Dubai art space Opera Gallery is hosting a combined exhibition from Moroccan artists Yasmina Alaoui and Yassine Mekhnache. Titled Sediments, Alaoui's signature style of using organic materials including sand, gravel, salt, kohl to powder over mostly geometric patterns, demonstrates her innate creative nuance to bring out the beauty in decay. Meanwhile, Mekhnache's The Conference of The Birds combines the figurative and symbolic with the abstract in large canvas works that feature embroidery, painting and beading. Interestingly, Mekhnache sends the art pieces on a trip around the world from Morocco to India to be further infused with the artistry of other craftsmen.
See the works by Yasmina Alaoui and Yassine Mekhnache at Opera Gallery Dubai until March 30.

The Dior pop-up store runs until March 25 at Level Shoes in The Dubai Mall.
